
Beavers Announce Non-Conference Schedule

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State's 2018-19 non-conference men's basketball schedule includes six games at Gill Coliseum, one in Portland and a tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands, head coach Wayne Tinkle announced Thursday.

Fans can secure men's basketball season tickets by calling 541-737-2050. For returning ticket holders, season tickets will be $349 for chair back and $199 for bench seats as part of the "Committ2Wayne" plan. All new chair back season tickets will be $384 and new bench season tickets will be $219.

The season officially begins on Tuesday, Nov. 6 when Oregon State takes on UC Riverside at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers will host Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 10 before flying to the U.S. Virgin Islands to compete in the Paradise Jam.

Oregon State will face Old Dominion at 2 p.m. AST (10 a.m. PST) on Friday, Nov. 16 at the University of the Virgin Islands' Sports and Fitness Center in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Beavers will take on Missouri or Kennesaw State in their second game. Northern Iowa, Penn, Eastern Kentucky and Kansas State are on the other side of the bracket.

Teams that win their first game will have a one-day respite, before playing in the semifinals on Sunday, Nov. 18. Teams that lose their first game will compete the following day on Saturday, Nov. 17.

All eight teams will return to the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on Monday, Nov. 19 for the championship round. The seventh-place game will open the final day of competition at 2 p.m. AST (10 a.m. PST) with the championship game scheduled for 8:30 p.m. AST (4:30 p.m. PST).

The Beavers will face Texas A&M in the Dam City Classic at Moda Center in Portland on Saturday, Dec. 15. The Aggies went 22-13 and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament last season.

Oregon State has four games at Gill Coliseum in December -- Saturday, Dec. 1 vs. Missouri State; Monday, Dec. 17 vs. Pepperdine; Friday, Dec. 21 vs. Kent State; and Saturday, Dec. 29 vs. Central Connecticut State.

The Beavers will play two true non-conference road games -- Sunday, Nov. 25 at Long Beach State and Sunday, Dec. 9 at Saint Louis.

The Pac-12 released the weekly matchups and site designations in mid-July. The final conference schedule will be announced soon and include game times and television partners.

The Beavers will host Montana Tech in an exhibition game on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Gill Coliseum will have several enhancements for the 2018-19 season. An HD center-hung video board will feature two 14.5-foot-high by 26-foot-wide displays facing the sidelines and two 9.5-foot-high by 16.5-foot-wide displays facing the ends of the arena. New LED lighting will allow for flexibility to be turned off for starting lineup introductions and create different levels of lighting depending on the event.
