Beavers Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Oregon State track & field followed a highly successful season on the track with great performances in the classroom as the Beavers were named an All-Academic team selection by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday.
In total, 361 teams were honored for their academics by the USTFCCCA. The Beavers ranked 85th out of the 220 women's teams. The Beavers 46-woman contingent had a combined GPA of 3.43, ranking fifth in the Pac-12, behind Stanford (3.61), Utah (3.52), Washington State (3.47) and Arizona State (3.45).
The Beavers had six student-athletes tabbed for individual All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA. To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have finished the indoor regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the top 48 for a relay event, or have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
In total 880 women were honored, including those from OSU; redshirt junior Nicole Goecke (Brush Prairie, Wash.), junior Delaney Hall (Lakeview, Ore.), redshirt junior Saskia McNairy (Lake Oswego, Ore.), junior Juliana Mount (San Jose, Calif.), graduate student Colette Richter (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) and redshirt senior Kristiane Width (Oppegard, Norway).
