Beavers Cruise Past Cougars, 94-62

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Five Oregon State players scored in double figures in a 94-62 rout of Washington State on Thursday night at Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers (12-11, 4-7 Pac-12) ended the first half on a 13-0 run and opened the second frame on a 7-0 spurt to take a 44-24 lead. The margin grew as large as 33 points as eight Oregon State players got their name in the scoring column.

Tres Tinkle led the way with 20 points, Alfred Hollins dropped in a career-high 19 in his first career start, Drew Eubanks added 18, Stephen Thompson Jr. chipped in 16 and Ethan Thompson finished with 10.

Hollins, who got the start in place of Seth Berger (concussion protocol), scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half. His previous career best was 13 points against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Dec. 9.

Eubanks threw down a one-handed dunk late in the game that put him over the 1,000 mark in his career. He's the 41st Oregon State player to reach the milestone. The junior also posted his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The Beavers outscored the Cougars 44-24 in the paint and 10-0 on fast break points.

Robert Franks led Washington State (9-14, 1-10) with 17 points and Carter Skaggs added 11.
