Beavers Prepared For Saturday’s 351st Civil War

THE GAME: Oregon State (8-4) opens Pac-12 play against Oregon (9-4) at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene in the 351st edition of the Civil War.

Oregon State won the first meeting last season, 76-64, on Jan. 5 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. Tres Tinkle recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Stephen Thompson Jr. (16), Drew Eubanks (15) and Seth Berger (12) all scored in double figures. Paul White scored 16 points to lead the Ducks.
Oregon got the season split with a 66-57 win on Jan. 27 in Eugene. Stephen Thompson Jr. led the Beavers with 16 points, while Ethan Thompson added 13 points and Tres Tinkle finished with 11 points, six rebounds and five assists. Elijah Brown led the Ducks with a game-high 20 points.
