Walker Earns Academic All-District Honor

Oregon State sophomore is majoring in marketins

CORVALLIS – Oregon State sophomore Joel Walker has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.

Walker is marketing major with a 3.91 grade point average, and has played in 16 of Oregon State's 17 matches this season including 13 starts. The sophomore has scored two goals on the year, and has one assist.

Thursday's Academic All-District honor is the 19^th in Oregon State men's soccer history, and the team's fifth since 2015.

As a team, the Beavers have an overall record of 10-4-3, and are 6-2-1 in conference play. OSU is ranked No. 22 in the United Soccer Coaches' rankings, and are unbeaten in their last six matches.

Oregon State will close out the regular season on Nov. 9 when they head north for a matchup with Washington.
