Hoops, Teddy Bears On Saturday’s Docket At Gill

THE GAME: Oregon State (5-1) returns home to face Missouri State (3-4) at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Gill Coliseum in the 5th Annual Teddy Bear Toss game.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new or slightly used stuffed animal and throw on the court at halftime. All of the stuffed animals will be donated to youth in need this holiday season.
TELEVISION: The game will be televised on Pac-12 Oregon with Ann Schatz and Mary Murphy calling the action.

TICKETS: Fans can secure men's basketball season tickets by calling 541-737-2050. For returning ticket holders, season tickets will be $349 for chair back and $199 for bench seats as part of the "Committ2Wayne" plan. All new chair back season tickets will be $384 and new bench season tickets will be $219.
Dam City Classic tickets will be included for all Oregon State men's basketball season ticket holders, giving fans a total of 17 games to watch in Corvallis and Portland during the 2018-19 season.
QUICKLY: With a win, Oregon State will equal its best start through seven games since the 1980-81 team opened 26-0 (the 1981-82, 1984-85, 1986-87, 1997-98, 2002-03, 2011-12 and 2015-16 teams started 6-1) ... The Beavers are shooting 92.3 percent (12-for-13) from the free throw line in the final two minutes of games ... Stephen Thompson Jr. needs four 3-pointers to become the Oregon State career leader with 186 ... Tres Tinkle is the only player in the Pac-12 in the top five in the league in scoring (fourth, 20.2), rebounding (tied for second, 10.3) and assists (fifth, 4.5) ... Tres Tinkle has scored in double figures in 41 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in Oregon State history ... Kylor Kelley leads the Pac-12 and is fourth in the nation in blocked shots per game (3.2) ... Kylor Kelley (.690) and Gligorije Rakocevic (.677) are third and fourth, respectively, in the Pac-12 in field goal percentage ... Zach Reichle tied his career high with three assists in each of the last two games ... Ethan Thompson broke out of a mini slump to score a game-high 18 points in the win at Long Beach State.
vs. MISSOURI STATE: Oregon State and Missouri State are meeting for the third time with the series tied 1-1.
The Beavers won the first meeting, 72-63, on Dec. 14, 1991 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. Mario Jackson led the way with 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Scott Haskin (13), Karl Anderson (11) and Charles McKinney (10) also scored in double figures for Oregon State. Johnny Murdock led Missouri State with 22 points.
The Bears won the following season, 63-48, on Dec. 12, 1992 at the Hammons Center in Springfield, Mo. Murdock once again led the Bears with 21 points and Clint Thomas added 14. Kareem Anderson scored a team-high 15 points and Scott Haskin chipped in 12 to pace Oregon State.
2019 Recruiting Class: The 2019 class includes Julien Franklin, a 6-foot-7, 190-pound shooting guard from Villa Park, Calif., Gianni Hunt, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard from Torrance, Calif., and Jarod Lucas, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound point guard from Hacienda Heights, Calif.
Franklin attends Villa Park High School in Villa Park, Calif., and is a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and 247 Sports. Hunt attends Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, Calif., and is a four-star recruit by ESPN. Lucas attends Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, Calif., and is a three-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals.com and 247 Sports.
