October 09, 2018 | Wrestling
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Headlined by seven home duals that include Michigan, Arizona State, Stanford and Iowa State, the Oregon State wrestling program announced its full 2018-19 schedule on Tuesday.
The Beavers will be featured four times on the Pac-12 Networks for their home duals against Michigan, Arizona State, Iowa State and Stanford. The Pac-12 Wrestling Championships are slated for March 9 hosted by Arizona State, and will also be available on the Pac-12 Networks.
OSU wrestles four programs which finished inside the top 25 at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in the spring. The first of these battles takes place inside Gill Coliseum on Nov. 16 when South Dakota State comes to town. SDSU finished 12th at the NCAAs last season.
The Beavers open their season with the annual Orange & Black Scrimmage on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. inside Gill Coliseum. After a couple week break OSU gets back on the mat at the Mike Clock Open on Nov. 11, before heading east to participate in the Navy Classic on Nov. 17 for the second year in a row.
Following Thanksgiving break, Oregon State travels to Las Vegas for the 2018 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, one of the premier tournaments in the country bringing the top teams from across the nation under one roof.
The Beavers welcome CSU Bakersfield to town for their regular season opener on Dec. 9. To start the New Year, Michigan makes its return to Gill Coliseum for the Fourth Annual Joe Wells Classic, named after longtime Beavers and Wolverines coach Joe Wells.
OSU ends the month of January with two tough duals against Wyoming and Arizona State, who finished in 17th and 10th at the NCAA Championships in March.
This year's NCAA Wrestling Championships is on March 21-23, 2019 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
