Beavers Conclude Play At The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. – The Oregon State men's golf team concluded The Goodwin with a tie for 17th-place finish on Saturday.

The Beavers shot a 47-over 289-305-293--887 at the par-70, 6,727-yard Stanford Golf Course to finish in a tie for 17th in the 24-team field.

Senior Kevin Murphy led Oregon State for the second consecutive tournament, finishing in a tie for 25th place with a 6-over 70-75-71--216. He finished in a tie for seventh place at the Duck Invitational in Eugene earlier this week.

Junior Jonas Liebich fired a team-best 70 in the final round to move up the leaderboard and finish in a tie for 46th place with a 10-over 71-79-70--220.

Sophomore Trevor Yu finished in a tie for 80th with a 16-over 73-76-77--226, freshman Shawn Lu was two strokes back with an 18-over 75-75-78--228 for a tie for 93rd and senior Calum Hill ended play in a tie for 123rd with a 32-over 87-80-75--242.

Stanford won the team title with a 3-under 837 and Rhett Rasmussen of BYU claimed medalist honors with a 4-under 206.

The Beavers will next compete at the El Macero Invitational in Davis, Calif., on Thursday, April 13 and Friday, April 14 in their final tune-up before the Pac-12 Championship.
