Anderson, Jackson lead OSU at Stanford Invite

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Oregon State track & field team competed at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational on Friday.
At Stanford, Ally Jackson won the high jump and Morgan Anderson placed fourth in her 1500-meters section in 4:28.50 in her first race at that distance this spring. Kristiane Width (4:31.27) and Juliana Mount (4:31.79) went 4-5 in their section and each improved her season-best time by more than five seconds.
Jackson matched her season's-best by clearing 5-5 to win the high jump. Amy Hilger was third at 5-3, also a season-best. Helen Ann Haun cleared 12-5.50 and tied for third in the pole vault.
Lexi Reed led three Beavers in the 1500 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival by placing 29th in 4:38.21 in her first race at that distance this season.
The Beavers return to action next weekend at a variety of meets. Some will compete at the John Knight Twilight Meet at Western Oregon on April 7; others will go to the Sun Angel Classic at Arizona State or the Jim Click Multis at Arizona.
OSU's lone home appearance of the year is the April 28-29 OSU High Performance Meet, at the Whyte Track and Field Center.
