Beavers In Third Place With 18 Holes To Play

BANDON, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team had another solid round at the Bandon Dunes Championship on Monday and jumped two spots up the leaderboard into third place with 18 holes to play.
The Beavers shot an even-par 288 at the par-72, 6,893-yard Old MacDonald Course after opening the tourney with a 2-under 286.
Oregon holds the team lead with a 16-under 560, while Texas Tech is second with a 6-under 570, Oregon State is third with a 2-under 574, and Texas A&M and Colorado are tied for fourth with a 1-under 575.
The final round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
Freshman Shawn Lu had an impressive bounce back with a 1-under 71 that included an eagle on the par-4, 464-yard 10th hole and three birdies. He opened with two birdies and six bogeys in the opening round to finish with a 76.
Senior Calum Hill also carded a 1-under 71 in the second round and is tied for 15th place with a 1-under 72-71--143. Junior Jonas Liebich is a stroke back with an even-par 70-74--144 to put him in a tie for 19th place.
Sophomore Trevor Yu put together a solid round for the second straight day, an even-par 72, and is tied for 11th place on the individual leaderboard with a 2-under 70-72--142. He had four birdies on Monday after posting an eagle and three birdies in Sunday's first round.
Senior Kevin Murphy sits in a tie for 53rd with a 6-over 74-76--150.
Hannes Ronneblad of Texas Tech held onto the individual lead with an 8-under 65-71--136.
