September 03, 2016 | Women's Volleyball
Lanesha Reagan was named All-Tournament After 25 Kills Over Two Matches
LINCOLN, Neb. – Mary-Kate Marshall led Oregon State with 11 kills, and Lanesha Reagan tallied nine, but the Beavers dropped a three-match decision to top-ranked Nebraska Saturday afternoon at the Devaney Center.
Set scores were 16-25, 14-25 and 12-25.
Marshall, who hit the 1,000-kill plateau in Friday's sweep of Syracuse, finished with her 11 kills on 34 attempts. She added three digs, two blocks and an assist to her final line.
Now in two-plus seasons with the Beavers (3-2 overall), Marshall has 1,018 career kills.
Reagan, meanwhile, finished second on the team with nine kills against the Huskers. She also had a team-leading seven digs and a block and finished with both of Oregon State's service aces.
Reagan, who had 25 kills over the two matches in Nebraska, was named to the all-tournament team. It's her second honor of the season after being named the Ultra Ankle Challenge All-Tournament Team last week.
McKenna Hollingsworth finished with 18 assists and six digs, while Kayla Ellis finished with six digs of her own.
Nebraska improved to 4-0 with the win.
Oregon State returns to action Friday when taking on South Dakota in the first of three matches at the University of Pacific in Stockton, Calif. The match starts at 2 p.m. PT.
