Marshall Paces OSU In Front Of A Packed BeaverDam

More than 750 members of the BeaverDam were in attendance Friday night
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Mary-Kate Marshall finished with a match-high 13 kills in the Oregon State volleyball team's three-set loss to No. 11 Stanford in front of 1,641 fans Friday night at Gill Coliseum.
Set scores were 27-29, 15-25 and 8-25.
More than 750 of the 1,641 in attendance were members of the Oregon State BeaverDam in a fantastic turnout by the student group. They saw Marshall hit double figures in kills for the 10th time in 13 matches this season.
Lanesha Reagan, meanwhile, tallied 10 digs to hit double figures for the sixth time this season. She was three kills shy of her fifth double double of the season.
Kayla Ellis led the Beavers with 12 digs, with Reagan's 10 placing her second on the team. Overall, Stanford (8-2 overall, 2-0 Pac-12 Conference) finished with 56 digs to the Beavers' (7-6, 0-2) 41.
The teams battled in a seesaw first set that saw the Cardinal win 29-27. The lead changed hands four times and the score was tied eight times. Each team finished with 18 kills and eight attack errors.
Emilie Wilmes made her season debut, finishing with one kill, one assist and a dig in two sets. Jessi Seumalo, who made her debut Thursday night against Oregon, also saw action in one set against the Cardinal.
The Beavers are back in action next week when visiting the Arizona schools. Oregon State opens against Arizona Friday in a match that starts at 8 p.m. PT. OSU then visits Arizona State Sunday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. Both matches will be available on Pac-12 Network and Pac-12.com. Live stats are available by visiting osubeavers.com.
