
Mueller Named to Pac-12 Preseason Team

Junior has 17 career goals
CORVALLIS – Oregon State standout forward Timmy Mueller has been selected as a member of the Preseason All-Pac-12 First Team, the conference office announced Tuesday. Mueller is one of 12 players in the conference to earn the honor, which is voted on by the Pac-12's coaches.
Mueller, who earned Far West All-Region and Capital One Academic All-District honors last season, scored six goals in 2015 to bring his career total to 17 goals. Among Mueller's season highlights were a game-winner against No. 9 Michigan State and double-overtime golden goal to lift the Beavers to their first win over UCLA in over a decade. Then Post Falls, Idaho, native also notched Pac-12 Player of the Week and Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honors after scoring a combined three goals against Duquesne and Cornell.
The Beavers will continue their exhibition slate Friday, when they play host to Portland. The start time for that match has been pushed back to 7:30 p.m. (originally 6 p.m.). Oregon State opens the regular season on Aug. 26, when it hosts DePaul.
