Beavers Finish Weekend with a Split

CORVALLIS, Ore. — The Oregon State swimming team finished the weekend with a split against San Diego State and Southwestern Oregon Community College. The Beavers fell to SDSU 109-89, but picked up a victory against SWOCC, 163-35.
Senior Sophie MacEwan continued her successful weekend, finishing first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.39. Senior Andrea Young picked up a second place time in the 200-yard IM with a mark of 2:10.14.
Oregon State finished second, third and fourth in the 100-yard butterfly as Brooke Meyer, Jesikah Cavanaugh and Megan Lam finished, respectfully.
Senior Anni Hecker edged out San Diego State in the 100-yard freestyle by a hundredth of a second, to take first place.
Freshman Felicia Anderson built off her pair of victories yesterday and completed the weekend sweep in the 100-yard backstroke finishing first place.
Oregon State will have almost a month off until it travels north to Washington for the Husky Invite December 2-4.
