Following this weekend's action, redshirt senior middle blocker Haley Clarke was named to the all-tournament team, finishing with 14 kills and 18 total blocks in three games this week. The Dundee, Ore. native posted six kills with as many blocks on Saturday against SDSU.

A trio of SDSU errors, kills from Marshall and Clarke, and Kory Cheshire's first collegiate service ace hoisted OSU to a 6-3 lead in the opening frame. The Aztecs drew within one at a 13-12 OSU advantage, and tied the set up at 16 points apiece. From there, the Beavers took nine of the last 13 points to win the first set, 25-20.
SDSU got off to a quick start in the second set, opening the frame with a 7-2 lead. OSU drew within three points at 9-6, but SDSU went on a run to push its lead to as large as 19-11. The Beavers rallied from there to cut the deficit to three at 22-19, but the Aztecs won three of the next four points to take the frame, 25-20, and knot the match up at one set apiece.
After the early advantages seized by the teams in the first two sets, OSU and SDSU exchanged points back-and-forth in the third, featuring 10 ties and four lead changes up to a tie at the 15th point. SDSU held onto the lead after that, going for set point with the score set at 24-22. OSU thwarted set point by tying the match at 24, then tallied another pair of points to take the set, 26-24, and a 2-1 match lead.
The fourth set began similarly the third set with the two teams exchanging points until a tie at eight points each. However, OSU took the lead following that deadlock and never let go, clinching the 3-1 match victory with a 25-19 fourth set win.
