
Nine Beavers Earn Academic Honors

Corvallis, Ore. – Nine members of the 2015 Oregon State cross country teams earned Pacific-12 Conference All-Academic honors, commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.
First-team selections were redshirt juniors Monica Anderson, Kira Kelly and Maureen Tremblay. Redshirt juniors Morgan Anderson and Samantha Lewis earned second-team honors; senior Adrienne Demaree, junior Holly Cavalluzzo, redshirt junior Macaulay Wilson and redshirt sophomore Kristiane Width earned honorable mention.
A student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor to be eligible for academic honors.
- Monica Anderson is an English major from Coburg who has a 3.85 GPA. She was an honorable mention choice in 2014.
- Kelly is an exercise and sports science major from Bend who has a 3.89 GPA. She was a first-team selection in 2013.
- Tremblay is an exercise and sports science major from Gig Harbor, Wash., with a 3.94 GPA. She was a second-team choice in 2012.
- Morgan Anderson is an exercise and sports science major from Scott Mills, Ore., with a 3.70 GPA. She was an honorable mention choice in 2014.
- Lewis is an exercise and sports science major from Boulder, Colo., who has a 3.88 GPA. She is a first-time honoree.
- Demaree is a biology major from Portland with a 3.65 GPA. She was honorable mention in 2014 and a second-team pick in 2013.
- Cavalluzzo is a junior from Montgomery, N.Y., with a 3.31 GPA in exercise and sports science. She was also honorable mention in 2014.
- Width is a redshirt sophomore from Oppegard, Norway, with a 3.58 GPA in political science. Wilson is a redshirt junior from Bend with 3.58 GPA in exercise and sports science. The academic awards are the first for Width and Wilson.
