CORVALLIS, Ore. – Following five consecutive meets on the road, the Oregon State swimming team returns home to host the BYU swimming team in a dual meet this weekend.
Oregon State is set to begin the meet on Saturday at 11 a.m. PT. The Beavers will host BYU at the Dixon Recreation Center.
Oregon State swims this weekend coming off a meet last weekend at Pacific, where senior Sammy Harrison and junior Czsarina Isleta combined to win four events. Harrison picked up her fifth win in the 1,000 freestyle (10:29.99), and has won all six of her 500 freestyle races this season, taking the victory in Stockton, Calif. with a time of 5:01.60.
Isleta earned each of her wins in the breaststroke, clocking a time of 1:04.56 in the 100, and swimming a time of 2:20.39 en route to a victory in the 200.
The Beavers will also be hosting at Dixon for the first time this season after hosting their first home meet at Osborn Aquatic Center earlier in the year. In the dual meet vs. Arizona State at Osborn (Oct. 3), each of Harrison and Isleta won a pair of events, while Megan Lam earned her first career victory in the 200 butterfly (2:05.98). She placed second in that event last weekend at Pacific with a time of 2:06.65.
The BYU swimming team looks to build upon a fourth-place finish in the MPSF Swimming Championships last season. Notably, the Cougars posted a 155-145 win in their dual meet vs. UNLV earlier this season (Nov. 6).
Next up for the Oregon State swimming team following this weekend will be a trip to Houston, Texas for a three-day swim meet at the Houston Invitational. The meet will begin on Thursday, Nov. 19, and will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 21.
