Head coach Craig Robinson
Opening comment...
"I was very proud of my team. This wasn't a game where we made a couple of mistakes down at the end. Stanford made plays. I thought Joe's shot should have gone in. That was a tough one. That would have made it tougher on them. But they came down and made shot after shot. You have a guy trapped in the corner and he throws a baseball to a guy wide open in the corner and he makes it. They were 14-of-25 from three's. It's disappointing but I feel like our guys are making progress."
On Stanford shooting lights out in the game...
"I think that's a good team. They were picked to be very good at the very beginning of the season and they are living up to it now. That's all. They have very good players. (Dwight) Powell's probably a pro. I'm not sure if (Chasson) Randle's not a pro either. That kid is good. And the rest of their pieces, whenever you can shoot like that, it doesn't matter how well you play, you have an advantage."
On Oregon State's defense on the three-pointers...
"No, I think we were right there on those guys. There was one runner that was a three-pointer they threw in the corner and we were right there. And there was one wide-open one for Powell, but it's not like we'd be guarding a center way out there anyway. I thought our guys played a good game and we just got beaten by a better team."
On keeping these games close but not pulling them out...
"It was great. But what happens in situations like that is when the little stuff comes in. You have to make your shots. We had three foul shots and missed those. We had two other fouls shots and missed one. Those little things that keep it close make it harder for those guys to make shots. So that's where that little stuff that comes in that we have to work on."
On putting Challe Barton in the starting lineup...
"We wanted a better matchup with the guards. Those guards are very good we were thinking putting a smaller guy on (Chasson) Randle instead of Jarmal (Reid) on him who is 6-7."
On Victor Robbins getting more playing time...
"He's been doing great at practice and I wanted to make sure we got him in the game. He's been keeping us alive in practice. This team is still terrific to coach. I love every one of them. I'm happy that they are playing hard in practice still. It shows on the court. We are battling a lot of stuff. I don't need to say it again. We are battling a lot of stuff and we are going to keep battling."
