Opening Comment...
"It was a heartbreaker. But when you're on the road, you have to play well for the entire time. You can't play well for parts of the game. I thought the first half was okay. We are away from home and they had a little bit of a lead, but that start of the second half is what killed us. We came out flat and you can't win on the road, you can't win at home if you come out like that after halftime. I was happy to see our fight to come back from that. I was happy to see the execution after that first three minutes when I called that timeout. But it's not enough. We have to play better. I have to coach better. We have to get better."
On the key to making the second-half comeback...
"I thought it was just hard work. We were playing hard, we were executing and we made them make some mistakes for a change and we capitalized on them, which we haven't done in quite a few games. So that was optimistic. And then Roberto Nelson played a great game offensively in that second half. He just absolutely did a yeoman's role there."
On the final play...
"We threw it right down to Devon (Collier). It sure looked like a lot of contact. We got it right where we wanted to the guy we wanted and it didn't go in."
On thinking about going to Roberto Nelson on the final play...
"We were hoping to be able to have a bigger target to throw to. There wasn't much time left. If he has a bigger guy on him or they bring a bigger guy on him, it's harder for him to get a shot off. I thought about going for a shot rather than getting something down low. But I thought we could get the ball down low to Devon, which we did."
On the Beavers' record...
"The record is tough. We have to put together a full game. You have to put together a full game in this conference if you want to win. You can't play partial games in this league."
On playing Challe Barton more than Ahmad Starks in the second half...
"Ahmad is fine. Challe just did a terrific job running the offense. When he was in there is when we made our comeback. We were getting a lot of motion on our offense. He played better."
On the return of Eric Moreland to the lineup...
"Obviously, that helps a lot. I think he was a little rusty. You could see that. But what he provides for us from a defense and rebounding standpoint you just can't replace. You cannot replace."
