Men's Golf Set For Pac-12 Championship At Los Angeles Country Club
OREGON STATE: Vince began his collegiate career this fall in impressive fashion by firing a 5-under 211 at the Northwestr Collegiate Classic, tying him for fourth place... led the team in the final tournament of the fall season with a 4-over 220 at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate.
DAVID DOUGLAS: Four-time all-conference player and two-time Mt. Hood conference player of the year (2002, 2003) for golf... three-time all-state player... also played point guard for the basketball team and earned two letters... graduated with a 3.85 GPA and was a member of the National Honor Society (2002-04).
PERSONAL: Born in Portland, Ore... son of Marguerite and Daren Johnson... mother is a mortgage banker, father is a mechanic at Glendoveer golf course... family includes brothers Daren Jr. (31), Willie (26), and Waldo (24)... major is Business with an emphasis on finance... high school friend Marc Hamel plays baseball for OSU... biggest athletic thrill to date was playing in the 2004 U.S. Amateur... also enjoys playing piano... favorite athlete is Nate Robinson... chose to attend OSU for the "golf program, facilities, and location."
