PERSONAL--Born 8/8/79 in Compton, CA...son of Nathaniel and Patricia McCall...has three brothers and sisters, Dion, 29; Landy, 25; and Brandi, 21...enjoys bowling and basketball...in College of Liberal Arts and is a liberal studies major is exercise and sports science ...winning national championship in football at Michigan in 1997 as a freshman has been his top athletic thrill...he transferred to OSU because, “of the opportunities that were presented to me.”
OSU—(2001—Senior)—Patrick enters his senior year at OSU having played in 12 games as a backup to Ken Simonton during the 2000 season…rushed for 658 yards as a junior and compiled 690 all-purpose yards…he rushed for 7 touchdowns and averaged 5.1 yards per carry…he had a pair of 100-yard rushing games in 2000, gaining 146 at UCLA and 116 at California…McCall and Simonton combine for the top one-two running back punch in the Pac-10 and the nation…Patrick is also a very talented receiver coming out of the backfield and could also play as a wide receiver if necessary…in the winter program, Patrick posted a weightlifting best of 305 in the bench press
OSU--(2000-Junior)--Patrrick had to spend the 1999 season as a redshirt (Division I transfer rule) after transferring from the University of Michigan...he has two years of eligibility remaining at Oregon State, starting with the 2000 season...Patrick entered winter conditioning, and then spring drills, with more vigor as he would officially be battling for his position on the depth chart rather than participating with the scout team...Patrick had already displayed his outstanding talents during the 1999 season, starting with spring drills in '99...he has all the tools to be one of the top tailbacks in the Pac-10...he has outstanding speed, runs with power and has sensational hands...Patrick missed most of spring drills after suffering an ankle sprain at the start of the second week of spring drills...in OSU's first spring scrimmage, Patrick carried the ball 7 times, gaining 36 yards and scoring one touchdown...he did not practice again until the final Spring Game...he carried the ball 4 times for 16 yards for the winning White squad before aggravating his ankle sprain late in the first quarter...when spring drills started, Patrick was listed No. 3 on the depth chart at tailback and he moved up to No. 2 at the conclusion of spring drills...he will combine with Ken Simonton to give the Beavers the best one-two punch in the Pac-10 Conference at tailback...he posted a bench press best of 330 pounds in winter conditioning and a hip injury kept him from testing in thet back squat and power clean.
(1999-Redshirt-Junior)--Patrick transferred to OSU from the University of Michigan and enrolled at winter quarter...played tailback as a freshman at Michigan (1997) and cornerback as a sophomore in 1998...he sat out the 1999 season as a redshirt after transferring from Michigan...participated in spring practice with the Beavers and was very impressive...has all of the skills necessary to be an all-star caliber running back in the Pac-10 Conference...in OSU's three major spring scrimmages, Patrick participated, but not in a major role as he is red-shirting in 1999...in the April 17 scrimmage at Roseburg, carried the ball 8 times for 32 yards...carried the ball 3 times for 11 yards at Prothro Field scrimmage on April 24...carried the ball 6 times for 29 yards in final Spring game at Hillsboro...in the OSU weight room, Patrick posted personal bests of 205 pounds in the hang clean, 305 in the bench press, 365 in the back squat and 245 in the incline...his best vertical jump is 33.50 inches and he tested for only 7.28 percent body fat.

MICHIGAN--(1998-Sophomore)--Saw action on special teams at Notre Dame (Sept. 5)...made defensive debut at cornerback vs. Syracuse (Sept. 12), recording the team's first sack of the year and two tackles...credited with two tackles vs. Eastern Michigan (Sept. 19)..saw action on special teams and in nickel package vs. Michigan State (Sept. 26).
MICHIGAN--(1997-Freshman)--Played in 10 games...finished with 13 rushes for 41 yards and one touchdown...added five receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown...added five receptions for 32 yards and four special teams tackles during the year...made career debut against Baylor (Sept. 20), rushing for 14 yards on four carries and catching three passes for 14 yards...produced career-long 11-yard run in Baylor game...contributed three carries for 11 yards as well as two receptions for 18 yards against Indiana (Oct. 4)...scored first career touchdowns on a three-yard run in the second quarter vs. Hoosiers...made special teams tackles vs. Iowa (Oct. 18) and Michigan State (Oct. 25)...carried twice for seven yards against Minnesota (Nov. 1)...rushed four times for 11 yards against Penn State (Nov. 8).
