Game Notes
• Game time weather was sunny at 91 degrees. Wind was 4 mph from the South
• The game aired on FS Arizona and Fox College Sports with Tom Leander providing play-by-play and Adam Archuleta as the analyst.
• Oregon State captains at the start of the game were Cameron Collins, Mike Remmers, Lance Mitchell and Tyrequek Zimmerman.
• Oregon State won the coin toss and elected to take the ball. Arizona State will kick off and defend the north end zone.
• Oregon State wore all white while Arizona State wore maroon uniform tops with white pants and helmets.
Oregon State Team Notes
• Jovan Stevenson (RB) made the first start of his career. In total Oregon State has played 18 first-time starters through the season's first four games.
• The ASU punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter was the first punt return attempt against OSU this season.
• Oregon State forced four turnovers (3 INT, 1 Fumble), the most since forcing four at UCLA (Nov. 8, 2008).
Oregon State Individual Notes
• Sean Mannion's 40 completions and 66 passing attempts are both single-game school records. Erik Wilhelm's (39-for-64) effort against Michigan in 1986 was the previous record.
• Jordan Poyer's first quarter interception was the first of the season for Oregon State. Poyer went on to record two interceptions in the game for the first time in his career.
• Dylan Wynn's fumble recovery is the second of his career.
• OSU's two forced turnovers in the first quarter equal the total forced turnovers the Beavers had created entering the game. The Beavers converted those turnovers into six points.
• Oregon State's six first quarter points are the most this season.
• Terron Ward scored the first touchdown of his career in the second quarter. It is the first rushing touchdown for OSU since Malcolm Agnew rushed for three in the season opener against Sacramento State (9/3).
• Anthony Watkins' third quarter interception was the first of his career.
• James Rodgers' third quarter touchdown reception was the 17th of his career. He remains fifth in OSU history in TD receptions.
• Johnny Hekker's 65-yard punt in the third quarter is his longest of the season.
• Rusty Fernando had the first multi-sack game of his career (2).
• Obum Gwacham had the first multi-catch game of his career (2).
• Markus Wheaton 10 catches. It is the second time in his career he's made 10 receptions in a game (Oregon 2010). It is the fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career and first of the 2011 season.
