Game Notes
• Game time weather was mostly sunny at 44 degrees with a 39-degree real feel. Wind was 11 mph from the North, Northeast. Chance of precipitation was 10 percent and humidity was 68 percent.
• Attendance for the game was 46,469, a Reser Stadium record.
• The game aired live on ABC with Brad Nessler serving as play-by-play commentator while Todd Blackledge did color. Erin Andrews was the sideline reporter.
• ESPN's GameDay originated from Oregon State for the first time Saturday morning, airing from the MU Quad from 6 to 9 a.m. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and Erin Andrews hosted the show.
• The game also aired on Compass Media Networks Radio with Matt Smith the play-by-play announcer Curtis Conway was the analyst.
• The Beavers appeared on television for the 12th time this season and have been on TV for 14 consecutive games dating back to 2009. OSU has been on TV in 42 of their last 43 games.
• Oregon State captains at the start of the game were James Dockery, Gabe Miller, Stephen Paea and Feti 'Unga.
• Oregon lost the coin toss. Oregon State chose to receive and the Ducks chose to kick toward the South end zone.
• Oregon State wore its Nike Pro Combat uniforms that resembled the team's uniforms during the 1967 “Giant Killers” season. The uniforms were black tops with plan black helmets (and an orange and white stripe) with white pants and orange shoes. Oregon, meanwhile, wore silver helmets with white tops and silver pants. The Beavers were one of 10 teams nationally to wear the Pro Combat jerseys this season.
• Saturday's Civil War game was the second-latest to be played, calendar-wise, in the series history. The latest date was Dec. 6 in 2003.
• The game marked the 114th all-time meeting between the schools, the seventh-most contested rivalry in the nation.
• Oregon State's Senior Day was Saturday. The Beavers honored 20 seniors prior to the game.
Oregon State Team Notes
• The game completed Oregon State's season. The Beavers finished 2010 with a 5-7 record and 4-5 mark in Pacific-10 Conference play.
• Oregon State's first-quarter scoring drive to open the game's scoring lasted 15 plays for 62 yards and took 7:36 to complete it. That's the longest scoring drive for the Beavers this season in plays and time.
• Saturday's announced crowd of 46,469 gave the Beavers a season attendance of 273,054, or an average of 45,509. That surpasses the previous Reser Stadium best average of 44,931 set in 2008.
Oregon State Individual Notes
• Jacquizz Rodgers became the Pac-10's sixth-leading rusher and Oregon State's second-leading rusher with 87 yards Saturday, giving him 3,877 for his career. He surpassed No. 7 Trung Canidate (Arizona, 1996-99) and No. 6 Yvenson Bernard (Oregon State, 2004-07). Next on the list is No. 5 Napolean Kauffman, who had 4,106 yards at Washington from 1991-94.
• Jacquizz Rodgers' first-quarter TD reception was the third of his season and fifth of his career. The score gave him 306 points for his career, still good for third in team history.
• Markus Wheaton set a career-high in receptions, with 10, and receiving yards at 137. He also scored a fourth-quarter touchdown, giving him four this season.
• Brandon Hardin's first-quarter forced fumble was his third of the season. The single-season record for forced fumbles is four, achieved multiple times, most recently by Stephen Paea earlier this season.
• Justin Kahut concluded his Oregon State career by finishing with two PATs Saturday, giving him 119 for his career, second-most in Beavers' history.
• Kahut also tallied eight points Saturday, giving him 260, good for fifth all-time.
