Game Notes
• Attendance for the game was 59,597. It was an Autzen Stadium record.
• Oregon won the coin toss. The Ducks elected to receive. Oregon State kicked the ball to start the game in the West end zone.
• The game was televised by ESPN in front of a national audience. Chris Fowler served as the play-by-play broadcaster, while Craig James and Jesse Palmer were analysts. Erin Andrew was the sideline reporter.
• The Beavers won white uniform tops with black pants. Oregon wore green uniform tops, white pants and yellow helmets. The Beavers wore identical uniforms in 2007, the last time they played at Autzen Stadium.
• OSU's captains were Sean Canfield, Keaton Kristick, Lyle Moevao and Suaesi Tuimaunei.
• Game time weather 35 degrees and partly cloudy. Winds were calm and humidity was at 78 percent. Temperature toward the end of the game was 28 degrees.
• The meeting between the teams was the 113th in history. The Civil War is the seventh-most contested rivalry game in the nation.
Oregon State Team Notes
• The Beavers trailed, 14-10, at the end of the first half Thursday night, but Oregon State has still dominated the first half of games recently. In the last 28 games, OSU has outscored its opponents, 265-80. Over the last 52 games, that jumps to 300-102.
• Oregon State allowed just 34 points over the team's last 13 first quarters. That number is the best in the Pacific-10 Conference, with Oregon second at 50 points.
• Oregon State scored 30 or more points for the fourth straight game. That's the best such streak since the Beavers topped 30 in four straight to end the 2006 season.
• The Beavers are set to play in their fourth consecutive bowl, a school record.
• Oregon State has higher than predicted by the league's media for the fourth straight year. This year, the Beavers were selected to finish fourth by the Pac-10 media.
Oregon State Individual Notes
• James Rodgers finished the game with 303 all-purpose yards, giving him 2,098 on the year. That is a new Oregon State single-season record.
• Jazquizz Rodgers' first-quarter rushing touchdown was his 20th of the season, marking a single-season school record. He surpassed Ken Simonton who had 19 in 1999 and 2000 and Steven Jackson, who equaled that total in 2003.
• Justin Kahut connected on two field goals of more than 40 yards, giving him 10 on the year. He is 9-for-11 from 40-49 yards this season.
• Justin Kahut totaled four field goals, tying his career best achieved earlier this season against UCLA. Kahut has 22 field goals this season, one shy of tying for the OSU single-season record.
• Justin Kahut finished with three or more field goals for the fourth time this season. He has five multiple field goal games this season and has connected on at least one in 10 of the Beavers' 12 games this season.
• Sean Canfield threw for 306 yards, giving him 5,802 for his career which moves him into fourth place in school history.
• James Dockery's interception less than a minute into the game was his second this season.
• Jacquizz Rodgers' second-quarter 48-yard reception was the longest of his career, surpassing a 41-yarder against Utah in 2008.
• Matt LaGrone recovered his second fumble of the season in the second quarter. The fumble was forced by Stephen Paea, his third of the year.
• Stephen Paea later forced his fourth fumble of the season, tying for the single-season school record.
• James Rodgers scored his ninth touchdown through the air on a 28-yard reception near the end of the first half. That ties him for fourth-most in single-season school history. He also has 14 career touchdown receptions, moving him into a tie for seventh in OSU history.
• James Rodgers finished with 10 receptions for a season-best 139 yards. The receptions give Rodgers 157 for his career while the yardage is his eighth career over 100 yards. The 10 receptions places him fourth in school history. Meanwhile, his 87 receptions this season is second-best in OSU history.
• Casey Kjos caught his first career touchdown on a 9-yard reception at the 10:51 mark of the third quarter.
