Men's Basketball Defeats Eastern Washington

Jason Heide had 17 points and six rebounds as Oregon State stopped a five-game losing streak by defeating Eastern Washington 58-50 Tuesday night.Oregon State (5-5) outscored Eastern Washington by 20 points from the free throw line, shooting 29-for-39 to the Eagles' 9-for-17.
Chris White scored 14 points and Jamal Jones had 13 for Eastern Washington (4-5). The Eagles outrebounded the Beavers 27-26.
The Beavers didn't put the game away until Deaundra Tanner hit four free throws in the final 28 seconds to help Oregon State a 54-50 lead.
Tanner finished with 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, four steals and a blocked shot.
Down 56-50 with 19 seconds left, Eastern Washington had a chance to get back in the game when Jason Lewis was fouled on a 3-point attempt. But he missed all three free throws and Tanner converted two from the foul line at the other end with 16 seconds to play.
