Tom Woodman

Tom Woodman was a walk-on at OSU, lettering in rowing in 1977 and 1978, and was part of the OSU National Champion coxless four in 1978.
Woodman went on to make the 1980 Olympic team eight man boat that was the second fastest 8 in the world that year and is in the US Rowing Hall of Fame.
He also competed on the US National team in the World Campionships, placing 4th in 1978 (4+), 5th in 1979 (8+), and won a silver in the 4+ in Munich in 1981. Woodman also won gold in the 1979 Pan American Games in the eight.
He returned to OSU in 1980 to coach the men's rowing program. His team won the Pac-10 title in 1981 and four team members went on to make the U.S. National Team.
