Back-to-Back! The Beavers became the fifth team to win back-to-back College World Series titles by winning 11-of-12 postseason games and put the exclamation point on its second national championship with a two-game sweep of North Carolina in the final series.
Jorge Reyes was crowned the CWS’ Most Outstanding Player after winning two games on the mound.
The Pac-10 Conference recognized Darwin Barney, Mitch Canham, Jordan Lennerton, and Eddie Kunz to its all-conference team. Canham also earned All-America honors. The team ended the year with 49 victories, which was one shy of the then school record set the prior season.
