Ken Carpenter

Ken was an All-Coast running back as a senior and later played in the East-West Shrine Game. When he was inducted he held the school record for all-purpose yards (3,903), fifth in rushing (1,910), seventh in total offense (2,846), and fifth in career scoring (144 pts.)
He was a first round draft pick of Cleveland in 1950. He played three seasons with the Browns, eight for the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders and one with Denver of the AFL.
Carpenter was named head coach of the Roughriders in 1960.
Carpenter was a 1982 inductee into the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.
