Joe Gray

"The Gray Ghost" was an outstanding halfback on both offense and defense from 1935-37. He was a first team All-Coast pick as a senior and was mentioned on several other All-Coast teams as a junior. At the time, he was called the greatest running and passing back ever to play at the school.
The Aurora, Ore., native was the first Oregon State player ever drafted in the first round by the NFL (Chicago).
