Chet Newton

Chet Newton won a Silver Medal at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. He finished runner-up to teammate and three-time National Freestyle Champion Robin Reed.
Newton helped the Aggies win the 1927 AAU title.
He also was a member of the varsity cross-country team for three years.
Newton was inducted into the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1980.
