Hamilcar Rashed Jr. had a breakout season for the Beavers in 2019. The linebacker led the nation with an Oregon State single-season record 22 tackles for loss. He also set the Oregon State single-season record with 14 sacks, which tied for third nationally. He recorded at least one tackle for loss in 10 of his 12 games, and had two four-TFL efforts. A native of Phoenix, he was named a First-Team All-American by The Athletic, Sports Illustrated and Phil Steele. He was a second-team All-America honoree by Walter Camp, the Football Writers Association of America, the Associated Press and CBS Sports. The AP and Phil Steele also selected him as a First-Team All-Pac-12 performer while the conference’s coaches chose him as a second-teamer.
