Scott Crichton was named to Freshman All-American teams by Yahoo!Sports.com, CBSSports.com, Phil Steele, Sporting News and CollegeFootballnews.com in 2011. Crichton started all 12 games at defensive end as a redshirt freshman leading the Beavers with 6.5 sacks, 14.5 tackles-for-loss and set a school record with six forced fumbles. In 2012, Crichton posted 17.5 tackles-for-loss and 9.0 sacks to garner All-America honorable mention status from SI.com. Crichton earned All-America honorable mention from SI.com again in 2013 following another dominant season that included 19.0 TFLs and 7.5 sacks. Crichton left early for the NFL following his junior season and was taken in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. Crichton finished his Oregon State career ranked among the top five in OSU history with 51.0 TFLs and 22.5 sacks and had the OSU record with 10 forced fumbles.
