Adley Rutschman had one of the most historic seasons in Oregon State history in 2019, winning the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and Buster Posey Award. He was named the unanimous National Player of the Year by media organizations. He was also a unanimous First-Team All-American after batting .411 with 17 home runs and an NCAA-leading 76 walks. Rutschman was chosen by the league’s coaches as the Pac-12’s Player of the Year and the Co-Defensive Player of the Year. He was also named an All-American in 2018 after batting .408 with a school-record 102 hits. He was named the College World Series Most Outstanding Player after setting a CWS record with 17 hits.
