Nick Madrigal exited his career at Oregon State in 2018 as the fourth overall selection by the Chicago White Sox. He left as a two-time All-American, in 2017 and 2018, and recognition as the Pac-12’s Player of the Year as a sophomore. Madrigal was a three-time all-league selection. He was also named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year that season and honored with a Gold Glove Award from Rawlings and the ABCA. A year prior, in 2016, he was selected as the conference’s Freshman of the Year. Madrigal batted .380 as a sophomore and completed his OSU career with a .361 batting average, 40 doubles, 11 triples, eight home runs, 103 RBI and 39 stolen bases.
