Rachel Rourke (2006-09) is among the greatest to play volleyball at Oregon State and is one of two to earn All-America honors.
Rourke earned AVCA All-America Second Team accolades in 2009 following a season in which she posted the most kills in a season by a senior (531) and the highest kills/set average in a single season (4.83 k/s) in Oregon State history. In addition, she helped lead the Beavers to victories at No. 24 Colorado State, at No. 6 Michigan, and at home against No. 7 Oregon and No. 18 Arizona.
A two-time Pac-10 All-Conference First Team selection as a junior and senior, she was also tabbed for honorable mention in 2007 and earned Pac-10 All-Freshman Team in 2006. She secured AVCA All-Pacific Region honors in 2008 (honorable mention) and 2009 and also received Under Armour/Volleyball Magazine All-America Honorable Mention in 2008.
Rourke holds the school record with 1,920 career kills and accounts for three of the top 10 single seasons in OSU history with 531 kills in 2009 (ranks fifth), 505 in 2007 (seventh) and 497 in 2008 (eighth). Rourke finished her career averaging 4.52 kills/set, which is also the OSU record.
Other Oregon State career records lists she is on include: career attacks - 4,948 (third); career service aces - 114 (11th); total blocks - 258 (17th); block assists - 214 (tied for 17th).
She also owns OSU's single match record with 36 kills against Oregon (10/30/09).
