Mary Ayotte-Law earned AIAW All-America status on the balance beam, floor exercise and all-around in 1981. In 1982, Ayotte-Law became the second Oregon State gymnast in history to win a national championship (the first year OSU competed in the NCAA) claiming the title on the floor exercise. She added NCAA All-America honors with a third-place finish in the all-around. In all, Ayotte-Law was a five-time All-American for the Beavers.
She was inducted into the State of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2007 and was part of the class of 1993 entered into the Oregon State University Athletics Hall of Fame.
