Gordon was a College Sports News All-American in 2003 and a two-time NSCAA All-Region selection. He was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team in 2002 and 2003. Despite playing just two seasons with the Beavers, Gordon amassed 26 career goals, good for third in program history at the time.
Gordon led the Beavers in goals during both of his seasons with the team, and is tied for the program record with five-straight games with a goal. The forward notched two hat-tricks, including one against Washington in 2002.
Gordon was selected by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, and had an impressive professional career, spanning from 2004-2018. Overall, he scored 76 goals during his pro career, which featured stints with seven different clubs. Gordon was part of two MLS Cup winning squads, one US Open Cup, one Supporters' Shield and a Canadian Cup Championship. He also made the roster for the US Men's National Team roster for the 2013 and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cups.
