Beavers’ Final Races Cancelled at IRAs

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Due to unsafe weather conditions several races were cancelled at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championships Sunday morning.
All three of Oregon State's crews were set to compete race in the latter part of the racing schedule and were part of the cancelled portion of the championship regatta. The Beavers' Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 had each qualified to the Fourth Finals while the Third Varsity 8 was slated to race in the Third Final.
"It's a little anti-climactic to have our races cancelled but it is an outdoor sport," head coach Gabe Winkler said. "This was a great year and a great season. I'm proud of what these guys accomplished this season, they were a really fun group of guys to be with."
