Oregon State Rowing Announces Spring Launch Dinner
January 18, 2018 | Men's Rowing, Women's Rowing
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State rowing invites all alumni, friends and fans to gather in Corvallis on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 for the annual Spring Launch Dinner and Inaugural CRASH BEAVS erg event. The day will be filled with a variety of opportunities for OSU rowing supporters to spend time with the programs' student-athletes, coaches and fellow alum. Registration for the 2018 dinner and CRASH BEAVS event can be found here.
The inaugural CRASH BEAVS erg event will start the day off as current student-athletes compete in their first erg 2k of the season. All alum and families are invited to attend and show support to the current Beaver squad as personal bests and all-time team records are sought to be broken.
All alumni are then welcome to compete in a 2k erg race as either an individual or in teams for the relay event. There will even be an opportunity to compete in a relay with current student-athletes, with awards to follow all race events.Â
The evening reception and silent auction will begin at 5:30pm in the club level of Reser Stadium in the lead up to the annual dinner.Â
The cost of attendance for the dinner is $50.00 per person and tickets are to be purchased ahead of time by February 18th. More details and registration link here.
This year's guest speaker will be 2011 graduate and 2016 Olympian Devery Karz, as we honor the programs alumni from the 2000-10 era.
Oregon State rowing is looking forward to a busy spring race schedule starting with the men's team in Las Vegas Nevada on March 3rd for the Vegas Invite. The women will have their first competition in Los Angeles California on March 17th in a dual against fellow Pac-12 team UCLA.Â
