Former Oregon State wrestler Joey Palmer joined the Oregon State wrestling staff as the volunteer assistant coach during the summer of 2017.
A native of Covington, Wash., Palmer was a two-time Pac-12 Conference All-Academic selection and three-time NCAA qualifier at 133 pounds. Last season at the NCAA Championship he went 3-2, just missing All-American honors in his final season.
Palmer won the 133 pound Pac-12 Championship his senior year, and finished his career as a Beaver with an 88-48 record.
He was a two-time Washington 4A state champion, and a member of the 4A State Championship team at Tahoma High School.
