CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The Oregon State women's rowing team is slated to race at the Longhorn Invitational Saturday in Austin, Texas. The regatta, which will be held along the shores of Walter E. Long Lake, will be the Beavers regular season finale before Pac-12 Championships next month.
The Beavers will face crews from seven top rowing teams from across the country including No. 7 Iowa, No. 9 Virginia, No. 18 Oklahoma and No. 3 Texas. In addition, unranked Alabama, Central Florida and Miami will race at the event.
The invitational will feature heat racing on Saturday morning followed shortly after with finals. The Beavers have three crews set to race – the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4+ - beginning at 8:20 a.m. CT with the Varsity 8. Racing is set to conclude with the Varsity 8 'A' Final at 11:30 a.m. CT.
