Beavers Tie Missouri, Remain Unbeaten

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Oregon State women's soccer team tied Missouri 0-0 on Friday and remained undefeated through the first four games of the season.

The Beavers were outshot 22-7 but goalie Bella Geist had seven saves and moved into seventh-place all-time with with 147 career saves in only 22 games. She passed Kristen Dulacki, who had 146 stops from 1994-97.

Geist also recorded her second solo shutout of the season and the fifth of her career. She tied  Elizabeth Pease (1997-2000) for eighth all-time at OSU.

Natalie Higgins had two shots to lead the offense. Giest and defenders Gwen Bieck, Helene Haavik, Greta Espinoza and Emmy Rodriguez each played all 110 minutes.

The Beavers (3-0-1) are off to their best start since the 2012 club won its first four games of the season. Their all-time best start was in 2010, when they won their first five games.

OSU concludes its road trip at 5 p.m. Sunday against Kansas at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan. It's the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
