Beaver Swim Social Set For May 5

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's swimming team will host an Inaugural Beaver Swim Social on Saturday, May 5.

The event, titled "Save Water, Drink Wine", will be held at the Willamette Valley Vineyards from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $45 per person and includes one glass of wine and heavy hors d'oeuvres served buffet style. Additional wine may be purchased during the event.

Head coach Jennifer Buffin and assistant coach Michael Wong created the event as a fun way to build relationships with alumni, donors and the community. Buffin will share her philosophy and goals for the program during the social.

"As a part of our strategy to bring Oregon State back to a competitive team in the Pac-12 we must build off the history, celebrate those who represent Oregon State swimming and build new relationships," Buffin said. "As the only Division I University in Oregon with women's swimming we have an obligation to cultivate relationships, build a strong base of supporters and engage with the community for future Beavers."
