Beavers Record Three All-Time Marks on First Day of OSU High Performance Meet

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Highlighted by three all-time top-10 marks, the Oregon State University track & field team finished the first day of competition at the sixth annual Oregon State University High Performance Meet at the Whyte Track & Field Center on Friday night.
Lindsay McShane had a solid day in two throwing events finishing third in the discus and sixth in the hammer throw, with the top mark by an OSU athlete in the hammer. McShane's throw in the discus improved her mark on the all-time list to 158' 7" and remains third all-time.
Jessica Molina was close behind McShane in the hammer throw finishing in seventh place with a throw of 172' 8". Meanwhile, Sydney Guthrie-Baker had a best throw of 164' 1".
Tory Edwards improved her fourth-best all-time mark in the pole vault with a clear of 12' 0". This is the first time this season that Edwards has broken the 12-foot barrier. Annie Sidor also competed with a highest clear of 11' 6.25".
The final event of the evening for the Beavers was the 1,500 meters led by Kristiane Width who set the seventh-best time in Oregon State history. Width crossed the finish line in 4:29.04. Holly Cavalluzzo (4:35.25), Batya Beard (4:49.55) and Emily Bacon (4:54.86) rounded out the field for the Beavers.
