A look back at Oregon State's professional players
Sydney Wiese:
Wiese finished up her offseason play with the Townsville Fire of the Women's National Basketball League in Australia with a WNBL championship as the Fire took down the Melbourne Boomers. During the 2017 WNBA season with the LA Sparks Wiese went to the finals playing against the Minnesota Lynx. The Sparks took the series to five games, but lost in the finals three games to two.
Wiese completes a stint at USA Basketball Training Camp in Seattle on Thursday and will return to Sparks training camp this year.
Ruth Hamblin:
Hamblin played in the WNBL as well on the Adelaide Lightning averaging 8.05 points and 6.57 rebounds per game. The Lightning finished the season one spot out of the playoffs with a final record of 11-10.
The Canadian Hammer is on the Dallas Wing's training camp roster for the 2018 season and will compete for a spot on the squad this season. She also played alongside Jamie (Weisner) Scott for team Canada during the FIBA Women's AmeriCup in the summer of 2017, helping Canada win the event.
Jamie (Weisner) Scott:
Jamie (Weisner) Scott played the 2017-18 season overseas for Ferrol in Spain. She averaged 15.4 points per game and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 50.3 percent from the field through 30 games. Ferrol made it to the semi-finals of the playoffs before falling to Avendia. Scott also recently played alongside Ruth Hamblin on Team Canada during the FIBA Women's AmeriCup in the summer of 2017 helping Canada win the event.
Patricia Bright:
Bright played 24 games with Montbrison (France) during the 2017-18 season averaging 14.5 and 7.1 rebounds points per game in 30.7 minutes. Montbrison qualified for the playoffs but was eliminated by Charnay in the quarter-final round.
Marie Gulich:
Gulich was selected 12th overall in the first round of the 2018 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury and will begin training camp this year.
