
Dawson and Molina Set School Records at Beach Invitational

LOS ANGELES – Highlighted by record-setting performances in the javelin and hammer throw from Destiny Dawson and Jessica Molina the Oregon State wrapped up day two of competition down in the Los Angeles area at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Beach Invitational.
The throws group for the Beavers had a productive day setting two school records and another all-time top-10 mark. For the second time this season Destiny Dawson has thrown the best mark in school history in the javelin. This time to the tune of 168-feet 9-inches, and a fifth place overall finish.
Delaney Hall improved her second-best mark in school history up to 156-feet 2 inches. Saskia McNairy (123-2) was the Beavers final participant in the event.
Jessica Molina is once again the OSU record holder in the hammer throw. Dethroned by fellow teammate Lindsay McShane, Molina took back the top spot throwing 183-feet 11-inches and a first place finish in her flight.
Oregon State participated in the final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational in two events, the 800 and 1,500 meters.Kala Kopecek led the way in the 800 with a time of 2:11.50. Nicole Goecke bested the Beavers in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:20.78.

The Beavers finish out the weekend at the Beach Invitational on Saturday before returning home to Corvallis.
