Beavers Finish Fifth In Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The final round of the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational was cancelled on Sunday due to heavy rain in the area.
The Beavers finished the 36-hole shortened event in fifth place with a 20-over 301-295--596 at the par-72, 6,319 Ohio State University Golf Club.
It's the fifth consecutive tournament this spring Oregon State has notched a top-five finish.
5th place -- Westbrook Spring Invitational
3rd place -- Meadow Club Women's Collegiate
4th place -- Entrada Classic
5th place -- Anuenue Spring Break Classic
5th place -- Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational
Freshman Amanda Minni finished in a career-best tie for eighth place with a 2-over 76-70--146. Her previous best finish was a tie for 26th place at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic.
Freshman Ellie Slama finished in a tie for 13th place with a 4-over 74-74--148 and senior Susie Cavanagh shot a 5-over 77-72--149 for a tie for 20th.
Sophomore Nicole Schroeder finished in a tie for 40th place with a 9-over 74-79--153, junior Olivia Benzin finished in a tie for 54th with a 12-over 77-79-156 and sophomore Mari Nishiura finished with a 22-over 82-84--166 for 81st place.
Illinois won the team title with a 3-over 579 and Pimnipa Panthong of Kent State won medalist honors after a scorecard playoff with Grace Park of Illinois at 3-under
The Beavers will next compete at the Pac-12 Championship, which will be held Monday, April 23 to Wednesday, April 25 in Seattle, Wash.
