Beavers In Third Through 18 Holes In Hawai’i

KAPALUA, Hawai'i – The Oregon State women's golf team used a balanced attack during the opening round of the Anuenue Spring Break Classic on Monday.
The Beavers sit in third place with a 13-over 301 at the par-72, 6,012-yard Kapalua Bay Course.
Hawai'i leads the 13-team field with a 2-over 290 and No. 29 Louisville is second with an 8-over 296.
The second round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament begins at 8 a.m. Hawai'i time (11 a.m. PT) on Tuesday and live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Senior Susie Cavanagh had three birdies, two bogeys and a double to post a team-best 2-over 74 that has her in a tie for 10th place with 36 holes to play.
Junior Olivia Benzin is a stroke back with a 3-over 75, while sophomore Nicole Schroeder and freshman Ellie Slama each carded a 4-over 76. Slama finished the first round with a team-best four birdies.
Freshman Amanda Minni, who is competing as an individual, shot a 6-over 78 and sophomore Mari Nishiura finished the day with a 14-over 86.
