CORVALLIS – The Oregon State football team, led by first-year head coach Jonathan Smith, will hold a spring practice at Mountainside High School in Beaverton Saturday, April 14. The public is encouraged to attend the approximate two-hour practice.
"It's important for us to bring the football team to the Portland area and around the state periodically," Smith said. "It also changes the environment for our team and gets them accustomed to traveling, but mostly it's a great opportunity for Beaver Nation to learn about the outstanding young men who will represent Oregon State on and off the field for the coming seasons."
Further details, including practice time, and marketing and promotions events will be announced in the near future.
"This practice further establishes our strategic commitment to enhance our engagement in the Portland area," OSU Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes said. "Our goal is to continue to schedule important events in the metropolitan area to strengthen our relationships and grow Beaver Nation."
In addition, the Beavers' annual Spring Game will be held at Reser Stadium Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the No. 2 ranked OSU baseball team. The Pac-12 baseball matchup with Arizona State has been moved to 3 p.m. at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
Season tickets are now available for the six-game home football schedule that includes Oregon, USC, California, Washington State, Arizona and Southern Utah. For information on the benefits of being a season ticket holder or renewal incentives please access OSUBeavers.com or call 541-737-2050.
