Tres Tinkle Named Pac-12 Player Of The Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State forward Tres Tinkle was named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.

Tinkle averaged 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals, while shooting 53.1 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from beyond the arc and 90.9 percent from the free throw line in wins over Washington State and Washington.

Against the Cougars, Tinkle scored a game-high 20 points and added five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Against the Huskies, he nearly posted a triple-double with 29 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high eight assists. He scored the final five points in regulation to send the game to overtime.

The Missoula, Mont., native is the only player in the Pac-12 to score in double figures in every game this season. He has scored in double figures in 27 consecutive games dating back to last season, tied for the eighth-longest streak in program history.
